ABOUT ME
I am a sixth generation New Zealander.
I studied Osteopathy/Naturopathy and opened a clinic in Tauranga where I was in practice for thirty years. During that time I wrote books about health and well-being.
I joined 'Tauranga Writers for Children, and over the years our group published five books written with kiwi kids in mind. These have been hugely popular with families, schools, and libraries.
I have always been interested in the history of New Zealand, especially the stories of the early settlers. My latest project was a novel which follows four families from various countries in Europe to New Zealand in the mid-1800s.
I have written this book under the pen name, Gracie Stathers.
Gracie taught me to appreciate history and to realise how things in the past impact on future generations.
